Are you ready to hear from extraordinary entrepreneurs who are thriving in business AND in life?

(I promise, no spam)

my EARLY LIFE

My very first job was as an 11 year old behind the cash register at my parents’ country store in Vermont.

I quickly learned how to serve, how to communicate, and how to assert myself in our busy resort town.

I went to Vassar College and the University of Virginia, where I received my Masters in Education and learned just how much I love empowering others.

While in college, I captained my college field hockey and lacrosse teams and was lucky to have to “work” for success and in the process developed massive drive and leadership skills.

I took a traditional career approach to life and spent 15 years in non-profit management, which was great but I quickly grew restless.

i caught the ENTREPRENURIAL “BUG”

So, I started an eco-friendly cleaning service in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2009. green sweep has survived many challenges but has continually grown and exceeds my expectations year over year.

It is now a self-managing company with a staff of about 40 awesome and committed people, year after year “Best of Albuquerque” awards, and a 20% profit margin!

I was on top of the world …

I purchased my first home, had a great new relationship, business was growing, and my family was great and healthy.

Tragedy rocked me to my core

I got the worst phone call of my life.

My parents had been killed by a drugged driver on their way home from church. I was obviously devastated.

I became obsessed with “justice” for them and got pretty wrapped up in the court case against the person who killed them. I didn’t sleep for a couple of years and I had headaches from crying.

I share this very intimate story for one reason only: I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it back to me after this. After a long hard journey, I started to see the light.

And in the meantime, I did the one thing I knew how to do well: work.

...So i overcompensated with work

The day I stopped crying (this was an actual day), I decided to pour all my energy into my business.

I worked my tail off and was succeeding in the ways that I thought most important.

I had time, freedom, money, success, a solid marriage and good friendships and relationships with my family.

I had even begun coaching other business owners in how to build successful companies and discovered I loved this.

I was killing it professionally and life looked great from the outside, but at times feelings of melancholy would pop up.

A nagging question of “what’s the point of all this, anyway?” ran through my mind. It was so frustrating and defeating.

That was me. Past tense!!
